Jesse Lawrence's shorts Mash Up and Much Ado About A Minor Ting, screened and competed in festivals around the world including the BFI London Film Festival, Toronto, Venice, Dresden, Edinburgh and Cape Town. They also  provided him with the opportunity to cast and work with fantastically talented newcomers such as Bronson Webb (Pusher, Game of Thrones) and Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Black Panther).

Jesse's big screen debut came with gross-out wedding comedy The Knot, starring Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Noel Clarke (Brotherhood), Talulah Riley (Westworld) and Matthew McNulty (Control). The critics were offended but it was a commercial success, distributed by Universal Pictures and selling to a world wide audience.
